| "mom, no!" rosie screamed, her father holding her back by the waist. rosie's eyes teared up in the wind as she watched her mother get blown up by bombs. when the explosion went off, her heart exploded into ten million tiny little pieces, too. "MOOOOOOOOOOM!" rosie wailed, struggling out of her father's grasp. "let me go!" she shrieked, ripping her body away. she stumbled onto the decimated, mud that used to be her home. it was covered in blood and various body parts of soldiers. when rosie reached the giant crater where her mother lay just moments before, she could only find her mother's old blue scarf laying in the ruin. rosie dropped to her knees with a thud and picked up the scarf, gingerly rubbing her thumb along the trim. the daughter of aphrodite doubled over, her chest wracked with sobs.
